The 越来越 structure indicates a gradual increase in the degree of some attribute.
It can be placed before adjectives and verbs with an object.

To express the meaning of “less and less”, we put the negative particle 不 or 没 after 越来越.

越…越…
The 越…越… structure is similar to 越来越, but it indicates a change under the influence of specific factors.
We name the factor after the first 越, and the change after the second 越.
Examples

dāngrán yuè piányí yuè hăo

The more obstacles we face, the more we love each other

Pay attention
You can’t put adverbs of manner, such as 很 or 太 after 越来越 and 越…越… .
There may be two subjects in a sentence with this structure. In this case, each subject goes before 越.
