The conjunctions 甚至于 and 以至于
We use these conjunctions to indicate a result of the highest degree: “...up to… / even…”.
Both of the conjunctions and have the same meaning “to the extent that…”. Such sentences should have two parts. In the first part we should describe the situation. In the beginning of the second part we should state the extreme result.

Pay attention
We usually use 甚至于 when we talk about a negative result. The person doing the action is to blame for the result.
Examples
这家银行的官员通常是冷静的,甚至于有点无趣
Bank officials are usually so calm to the extent that they are a bit boring
zhè jiā yínháng de guānyuán tōngcháng shì lěngjìng de, shènzhìyú yǒudiǎn wúqù
他一直都说话,不能沉默,甚至于一秒钟都受不了
He keep talking all the time. He can't be silent even for a second
tā yīzhí dōu shuōhuà, bùnéng chénmò, shènzhìyú yī miǎo zhōng dōu shòu bùliǎo
他学习得非常专心,以至于有人敲门也没听到
He was so focused on his studies that he didn't even hear the knock on the door
tā xuéxí de fēicháng zhuānxīn, yǐzhìyú yǒurén qiāo mén yě méi tīngdào
这篇论文他写了很长时间,以至于全论文都背得出来
He was writing this work for so long that he could retell it in detail
