The adverb 急切
The adverb
急切
has two meanings: 1) "impatient", "eagerly". We should state it before a predicate which is expressed by a verb.
Examples

等待引擎声的声音
We eagerly await the sound of the engine
wǒmen jíqiè děngdài yǐnqíng shēng de shēngyīn
他急切希望不会有任何延误
He desperately hopes there will be no delays
tā jíqiè xīwàng bú huì yǒu rènhé yánwù
2) "urgent", "desperately".
