The modal adverb 果然
The modal adverb (语气副词) expresses subjective judgment or assurance toward an action.
The adverb emphasizes that the result was what we expected. We should state it before a predicate which can be expressed by a verb or an adjective.

他说要下雨,果然下雨了
He said it was going to rain, and it really did
tā shuō yào xià yǔ, guǒrán xià yǔ le
果然很漂亮
She is really beautiful
tā guǒrán hěn piàoliang
我说过他会忘记,他果然就忘了
I said he would forget, which he certainly did
wǒ shuōguò tā huì wàngjì, tā guǒrán jiù wàng le
