Double negation
Negation can be doubled in Mandarin Chinese to emphasize a negation with more emotional coloring. You can form a double negation using the following structures.
Patterns with the meaning "there's not one that doesn't/isn't…"
1) The structure This structure is used to form the following sentences: "there isn’t a single boy who doesn't like football", "there isn’t a single student who isn’t afraid of failing an exam". The above sentences have the following meanings: "all boys like football", "all students are afraid of failing their exams". The subject is placed after 没有 and the predicate is placed after 不. An adverbial modifier of place can be placed before the structure.
