The verb 有 , besides its main meaning “to have”, may be used in the following meanings:
1) in the meaning of “to possess”.
In this case, it should be followed by the particle 着 , which indicates the state of the noun.
Examples
我父亲一直有着很高的道德水准
My father has always had a high moral standard
wǒ fùqīn yìzhí yǒu zhe hěn gāo de dàodé shuǐzhǔn
我妹妹有着可爱活泼的性格
My sister has a lovely and lively personality
wǒ mèimei yǒu zhe kě'ài huópō de xìnggé
俄罗斯和中国之前有着长期的友好关系
Russia and China had a long history of friendly relations
éluósī hé zhōngguó zhīqián yǒu zhe chángqí de yǒuhǎo guānxi
2) with verbs like “to write”, “to draw”.
In this case it is usually translated as “There is/ There are” or isn’t directly translated at all.
