The adverb 就 “just”
In Chinese 就 has several functions, including as an adverb. Let’s learn when we can use it as an adverb.
We use the adverb to emphasize a determination to do something and to express confidence in some action. In a sentence, we should state the adverb 就 before the predicate.
Pay attention
We usually do not directly translate 就 into English.

你别劝她,她要去
Don't try to persuade her, she will go
nǐ bié quàn tā, tā jiù yào qù
没必要再次跟我说,我要负责这个项目
There is no need to tell me again. I will be in charge of this project
méi bìyào zàicì gēn wǒ shuō, wǒ jiù yào fùzé zhè ge xiàngmù
不信学不会
I just don't believe that I’m won’t be able to learn this
wǒ jiù bú xìn xué bú huì
