The demonstrative pronouns 本 and 此
The demonstrative pronouns (指示代词) are used to point out the thing the speaker is referring to.
The pronoun 本
The demonstrative pronoun has two meanings: 1) "one's own". 本 is followed by a noun that expresses the place the speaker is referring to. For example:

政府决心减少国的外债
The government intends to reduce the country's foreign debt

In CVs and cover letters, the word can be used instead of the pronoun .
2) "this". In this meaning, 本 indicates a point of discussion and in some cases is not directly related to the speaker.
