Date and time is always written from the biggest to the smallest:
year - month - date - a day of the week - the time of day - hours - minutes.

There are no special words for the names of the months. The month is communicated by adding the number of the month to either 月 or 月份 .

In order to say the date of the month, we use two words 号 and 日 .

How to say the date
We are accustomed to saying the date and then the month. In Chinese the month is named first, then the date.

The specific date may not be named. Instead, a ten-day period of the month will be designated.

The verb 是 in sentences about dates
When we speak about dates, the verb 是 is optional.

In negative sentence, the verb 是 is obligatory. Negative sentences are made using the words 不是 .

In order to ask "what date...?" or "what month...?" the word 几 is used instead of numeral adjectives:
几月 or 几月份 几号 or 几日
