Date and time is always written from the biggest to the smallest:
year - month - date - a day of the week - the time of day - hours - minutes.
In the Chinese language the date is said in the opposite order. Let’s find out how to say it correctly.
There are no special words for the names of the months. The month is communicated by adding the number of the month to either 月 or 月份 .

More recently, the option with the word 月份 has been used more. Sometimes this word is pronounced as yuèfènr.
Here are some options on how to say the month:
上个月 这个月 下个月
In formal speech 本月 is used instead of 这个月.
The measure word 个 must be used if we speak about the number of months.
yí ge yuè
liǎng ge yuè
一个月 one month
How to say the date of the month
In order to say the date of the month, we use two words 号 and 日 .
号 is more frequently used in colloquial speech, while 日 is more frequently used in formal speech.

The words 日 and 号 are only used in dates. In order to state the number of days, the word 天 is used. There are not any measure words in front of them:
How to say the date
We are accustomed to saying the date and then the month. In Chinese the month is named first, then the date.
yí yuè bā hào
èr yuèfèn èrshíwǔ rì
The specific date may not be named. Instead, a ten-day period of the month will be designated.
上旬 is used for the first 10 days of the month, 1-10th
中旬 is used for the middle10 days of the month, 11-20th
下旬 is used for the last10 days of the month, 21-31st
These words are written after the month:
in early March
sān yuè shàngxún
In the middle of May
wǔ yuè zhōngxún

The verb 是 in sentences about dates
When we speak about dates, the verb 是 is optional.
It is October 13th today
jīntiān shíyuè shísān hào
It will be October 14th tomorrow
míngtiān shì shíyuè shísìhào
In negative sentence, the verb 是 is obligatory. Negative sentences are made using the words 不是 .
It is not the 13th of October today
jīntiān bú shì shíyuè shísān hào
How to ask "what date...?" or "what month...?"
In order to ask "what date...?" or "what month...?" the word 几 is used instead of numeral adjectives:
几月 or 几月份 几号 or 几日
