The prepositions 眼前 and 面前
Both prepositions have a similar meaning “in front of”.
The preposition 面前
is used with abstract concepts. For example: "in the face of failure". It can also be used with objects to indicate the object’s position in relation to a person.

The preposition 眼前
is used the same as 面前.

lìshǐ jiù zài wǒmen yǎnqián fāshēngzhe

She looked down upon the city sprawling out in front of her
tā fǔshì zhǎnxiàn zài yǎnqián de chéngshì
眼前 can also have the meaning “now” and can be used as a noun.

yǎnqián de wèntí shì pínkùn wèntí
不能只顾眼前,不管将来
